Chennai Saligramam Raghavendra Swamy

Jai Raghavendra Baba ki

Shri Raghavendraswamy, who was Sanku Karna as a Deva, Prahalada as a Bhaktha, Bhahlika as a king, Vyasaraja as Yathi Sreshta, born and entered Brindavana in the year 1671 at Mantralaya, Andhra Predesh.

The Mruthika Brindavanam at Saligramam, Chennai-93, Tamil Nadu fulfills the desire and clears the miseries of Bhakthas whoever surrender to him with involvement of bhakthi. The place at Saligramam, Chennai-93, was identified by Smt.Savithiri Ammal, wife of Sri.B.S.Srinivas Rao , with the divine blessings in her dream for the installation of Mruthika Brindavanam of Sri Raghavendra Swamy. The Mruthika Brindavanam installed at Saligramam, Chennai, Tamilanadu by Sri Sri Visweswara Theertha Sripadangalavaru, Peetathipathi of Pejawar Mutt, Udupi on 15th July 1975.

The importance of this Mutt at Saligramam is known by the fact that Sri Sri Ragoothumaswamy Brindavanam is also installed by Sri Sri Satyapromoda Theertha Sripadangalavaru of Uttradhi Mutt, during 1992.

The sanctity of this Mutt is increasing day by day by offering Laksha Pushpa Archana (every year), Koti Pushpa Archana for a second time from 2010. Many Swamijies of various Mutts are often visit this Mutt and perform Samasthana Poojas, notably among them is that of Madhava Theertha Mutt Peetathipathi performed Chathurmasa vratham in this place.

Bhakthas formed an installation committee and initiated installation of SriRaghavendraswamy’s Mruthika Brindavanam. This is the only Mutt in India where deities namely Sri Anantha Padmanabhaswamy, Sri Anjaneya, Sri Vinayaka, and Sri Manchalamma are installed for the well-being of all public.

The installation Committee was later changed as “Sri Raghavendraswamy Brindavanam Committee” which takes care of maintenance and other improvements of the Mutt. For Administrative convenience, Shri Raghavendraswamy Brindavanam Trust was formed to look after all the religious activities of the Mutt like Aradhanas, daily sevas, etc. Later, with the idea of poor feeding and Annadhanam for the needy, Sri Raghavendraswamy Annadhanam Trust was formed which is now looking after Hasthothakam, Annadhanam on Thursdays and on other days as desired by devotees.

The daily sevas, Hasthothakam, Annadhanam etc., are being performed regularly and the seva list is appended separately.

Jai Raghavendra Amma

Shri Ragavendra Sai Baba Shrine was inagrauted on March 24th 2010. The Sai Baba Shrine was named as Shri Ragavendra Sai and this shrine is present in Shri Ragavendra Temple.

Shri Ragavendra Temple History

Shri Mohan, the founder of 'Shri Ragavendra Brindavam Mahathanapuram' was seeking employment in abroad for five years and after the failure he started his life as an auto driver. In the year 1986 'Shri Somaiajulu Bhagavathar' a true devotee of Rama, advised him to visit manthralayam. He eagerly visited Manthralayam and performed three days 'Sangalpa Seva'.

After the return from Manthralayam he noticed a good development in his life and then he was married with Bhuvana in the year of 1997. In the same year he offered Annadhanam on 'Rama Navami'and from that instance he decided to offer Annadhanam every Thurday in the name of Sri Guru Ragavendra.

When Shri Mohan conveyed his wish about offering Annadhanam Shri Mantralaya Murasu Manamadurai Dr.Sethuraman donated Rs 501 and also asked him to contact Shri Vijayendran at Chennai.

Both Shri Vijayendran and Shri Mohan met 'Bejawar Mutt Swamigal' and Swamigal encouraged Mohan's interest and fixed a date 02.02.1998 to establish Shri Ragavendra Brindavan at Mahathanapuram. After his return to Mahathanapuram, with the help of his wife's jewels started constructing 'Mani Mandapam' and established Shri Ragavendra Brindavan on 2.2.1998.

Also in the Premises of Shri Ragavendra Brindavan Shri Sanjeevi Anjeneyar Sannathi was established on 26.06.2001 and Shri Vishnu Durga Devi Sannathi on 20.06.2003. Not Only this two again Shri Lakshmi Narashimhar Sannathi was established on 28.02.2005, Shri Sathya Narayanar on 01.02.2007 and Shri Haiyagreevar and Shri Poovaraghavar Sannathi was established recently on 09.12.2009.

Shri Mohan experienced many Miracles in his life. His wife as a thyroid patient had problem in giving birth to a child. They prayed Shri Ragavendra Swamigal for a child nearly 4 years. Finally Shri Ragavendra Swamigal blessed them with a male child in the year of 2002. Shri Mohan is continuing his devotional service and also developing Brindavan.

Now a days he has started Annadhanam offering during Thursday Afternoon and also during Evening Pooja including Ekhadasi. Sri Ragavendra Swamigal offers blessings to the devotes in their every moment of life.

Mantralayam Raghavendra Swamy

Jai Kula Raghavendra

Mantralayam is a town in Kurnool district in Andhra Pradesh, India. It lies on the banks of the Tungabhadra river on the border with neighbouring Karnataka state. It is also called as Manchale. This town is noted for the holy presence of the Vrindavana of Guru Raghavendra Swami, a Madhwa saint and follower of Sri Madhwacharya. It is believed that Guru Raghavendra Swami is in the Vrindavana for the past 339 years and is believed to be in the Vrindavana for another 361 years. While entering the Vrindavana, Guru Raghavendra Swami stated that he would be there (in the Vrindavana) for 700 years.

Manchalamma is the presiding deity of the Manchale village and one has to offer prayers to Manchalamma first before they enter Sri Raghavendra Swamiji's(SRS) mutt to get his blessings. The Manchalamma's shrine is located on the left of the SRS mutt and both are on the banks of River Tunghabadra.

Sri.Appanacharya was the prime student of Swamiji. Swamiji stayed with Sri.Appanacharya in Bikshalaya aka Bichali for 13 years. This place is also located on the banks of River Tunghabadra and it is 20 km from Mantralayam.

The nearest railway station is Mantralaya Road, 16 kilometres away. This station is on the Guntakal - Raichur railway route. There are frequent bus services from Adoni, Yemmiganur, Kurnool in Andhra Pradesh and from Raichur and Bellary in Karnataka,Mantralaya is about 53 km fron Adoni,24 km fron Yemmiganur,100 km from Kurnool and 250 km from the state capital Hyderabad, 35 km from Raichur and 120 km from Bellary.
